Toggenburg Dairy Goats

Our Foundation Does

Michelle

Toggenburgs were imported into Australia from the UK. It was never explained whether these were British Toggenburgs (carrying Saanen blood) or true Toggenburgs. From the looks of Michelle and Lauren, I'd say both were imported under the generic name "Toggenburg".

Michelle is a deep bodied, long, big engine roomed goat. Full of bone and muscle. Lauren is gracile, triangular and feminine in the extreme. She even carries wattles at her neck. Michelle is docile, placid and ameniable. Lauren is flighty, twtichy and exciteable. Michelle looks like a British Toggenburg and Lauren, a true Toggenburg.

I plan to breed replacements from Michelle and meat cross kids from Lauren.

Despite the obvious physical and tempremant differnces both dams gave over 5 litres (A gallon) a day so production shouldn't be a problem.
